If you’re dealing with a boiler breakdown, it’s often something you didn’t expect. Whether your system is rattling, making noises, performing badly, or otherwise failing to operate properly, you want the problem fixed rapidly and efficiently.
With deep roots in the Finger Lakes region, Lagana Plumbing & Heating understands that a failing boiler needs to be addressed ASAP. That’s why we’ve established our emergency repair hotline so that we can get to your boiler repair ASAP, getting you back in operation quickly.
Let’s face it – boilers are complex systems that can have many reasons for failing, but this issue often is due to lack of professional care or an aging system. If you’ve been trying to maintain your own boiler, you may have missed some of the signs of critically-needed repairs, or your old system could have finally failed entirely.
For these problems, we can possibly make repairs to your system, but it’s important to realize that if failure of attention or aging has caused the problem, more issues may arise. Your service tech can give you a better understanding of your system’s challenges and where it’s at after the repair.
Your first step should be to ensure safety. Shut your system down and call for help. We’ll respond as quickly as possible, but there are some steps that you can take to reduce heat loss and improve heat generation inside your home or business.
If you have a fireplace, start a fire. Close curtains over all windows and the doors to unused rooms. Add rolled towels beneath doors to reduce drafts. However, do NOT run a gas oven open or a burner with nothing on top of it, as this can damage your range and lead to carbon monoxide buildup. You should also avoid using outdoor-only propane heaters indoors for the same reason.
